Just discovered that Adam Driver, who is brilliant and weirdly sexy in Girls, is going to be in a Coen brothers movie with Carey Mulligan and Garret Hedlund. Not only that, but he is high in the cast list so it is obviously a major role for him. Let me just repeat - Garret Hedlund and Adam Driver in the same movie directed by the Coens. This is approaching my idea of heaven. Justin Timberlake is also in it, but you can’t have everything I suppose.
I genuinely like Taylor Kitsch as an actor, and he also seems like a nice guy. He was brilliant in FNL, a standout in a great cast, and i think that he should be playing these kind of roles. Obviously someone has told him that with his leading man looks he should be a big action star, and it is a bit depressing that he is going to make another macho movie with Berg. Personally i think his greatest quality is that behind his ridiculous bone structure is a vulnerability and an almost feminine quality which he isn’t capitalising on.
I would love to see him in a really good adult relationship movie - not a stupid rom-com (although i have a horrible feeling that might be next on his agent’s tick list), but something like Blue Valentine maybe. Not suggesting he has Gosling’s talent as an actor, but i think he does have something of his empathic quality and his ability to relate really well to women on screen.
It’s a shame to me that rather than trying to make him the next ryan gosling, the aspiration appears to be to make him the next Tom Cruise (isn’t one enough??).
I really, really hope savages is good and he gets some credibility back. The trailer looks promising, but it is an Oliver Stone movie so it could be a great big mess.
His performance is going to be under the microscope and anything less than a stellar turn will make him into a laughing stock. He would then forever be known as that guy who Hollywood tried to make into a star in 2012 but who sank without trace.
He deserves better.
I have just died and gone to heaven. Roger Sterling and Matty Saracen in the same movie tells me that all is right with the world. fridaynightlights:
Zach Gilford AND John Slattery play father and son in new movie, In Our Nature. Yeah!
thank god i am not the only person who cares about these things.
okay ignoring the fact that he looks really cute here….. tortuous?!?!??! Tortoise goddammit!!!! Ug i hope he got autocorrected or something or else this will be the second god awful spelling mistake he’s tweeted.
He is such a sweetheart, but how is it possible not to know how to spell tortoise?? I’m going to tell myself he’s joking because i am a grammar snob. Fuck it even if he doesn’t know how to spell tortoise he’s still lovely. nerdypanda:
Okay, so even though it’s technically tortoise, I’m still going to bask in the ridiculous amount of adorable that continues to be Aaron Paul’s twitter.
Aaron honey this pizza obsession has got to stop! Seriously is that all this guy eats? How come he is so skinny?

Now this is what I call an interview. He seems like a very cool, engaging and humble man. Hope he does well despite the massive flop of John Carter.
Just got a direct message from Aaron Paul. Still not entirely convinced it is him rather than his publicist but still nice to see his name there. Now let’s just hope he never finds out I have slagged of his spelling skills.
Jesus - what a response to my post. I was kind of joking, but to be honest I do like it when people have a basic command of the language. The very fact that aaron was daft enough to post about his experience in ABQ shows he maybe isn’t the deepest thinker. Like I said, i love the guy and think he is quite possibly the best actor on TV and he is very, very likeable. I just would like him even more if he was a bit better with words. In his defence he was probably pissed (as in drunk not angry although he was possibly both) and we can all do daft things under the influence of alcohol. Hopefully though this will teach him that it is best not to get too personal on twitter. He should stick to being cute and posting pictures of jigsaws and pizza.
Oh and ps - i tagged it BB as it was about Alberquerque as much as Aaron Paul and the irony that he plays a drug dealer on a hit show and is then pissed off when he is a victim of a crime in the city where it is set. Seemed entirely appropriate to me.
Oh Dear. Another example of why celebs should stay away from twitter. I have a feeling that Aaron’s last few months in ABQ not going to be all that pleasant. Whenever I saw his tweet about getting robbed last night I knew it wouldn’t go down well. He only said what anyone else would, but he said it in the public domain. Small towns are very sensitive about interlopers coming in and being critical.
I also thought there was a bit of irony about the guy who plays Jesse Pinkman getting robbed. Given that he portrays the dark side of ABQ he shouldn’t be all that surprised that sometimes bad things happen there.
Final comment - he really can’t spell can he!! Last week he spelled gross “grouse” and now he appears not to be able to spell lose.
I love this guy as an actor, he really is incredible, but I am starting to think he may not be all that bright which is a shame. I know it shouldn’t matter but it always bugs me when someone I admire turns out to be a bit on the limited side. Then again there are different kinds of intelligence I guess and he has the emotional intelligence to be able to play one of the most sympathetic, complex characters on TV.
Still wish he was a bit more erudite though.
This is the most pretentious post I have ever had the misfortune of reading in the Breaking Bad tag and frankly it’s quite insulting. Why look down on someone because they misuse or misspell words? How do you know “loose” wasn’t a typo? And who cares if it wasn’t? No need to be condescending and insulting toward Aaron and then TAG THE POST as Breaking Bad. Seriously I’m so annoyed by this post. “On the limited side”? Fuck off. You clearly don’t admire or respect anyone if their possibly lack of “intelligence” makes you write something like this.
